Chapter Six

Channing sat in the chair near his double doors, but his gaze didn’t watch the sun breaking the horizon. Instead, he found he couldn’t tear his eyes from the beautiful creature asleep in his bed.

Abigail had been a surprise, to put it mildly. She had a deep passion within her, one that – surprisingly – matched his own. There had been no holding back with her, and the fact that she had been untouched only added to his shock.

She was on her back, the sheet resting just below her breasts, giving him a tantalizing view of her pink nipples that hardened with the morning breeze. Her mane of golden locks was spread over the pillow like a blanket and her lips were slightly parted.

It was an image that would forever be embedded in his memory. In all the years he had been in Africa, no woman had ever shared his bed. Yet, he hadn’t thought twice about having Abigail with him.

Unfortunately, that meant Abigail would be caught in the middle.

Channing leaned back in his chair, his mind working quickly. She had never told him why she wanted her father to think her kidnapped. Maybe it was time he found out the truth.

He stood and walked to the bed. He hadn’t bothered with clothes, not when he knew he wanted Abigail again. When he reached the bed, he leaned down and took a pale pink nipple in his mouth, sucking until the tiny peak was straining in his mouth.
